While it seems all quiet throughout the Empire, word of the power of the Badlands Garrison and Outer Rim Squad has continued to spread throughout Western Canada! We have been able to show our strength in such abundance that we have been too busy to report updates! But have no fear, Imperial Citizen! We are everywhere and will provide the proper mission reports as soon as the dust settles a bit.

To give an idea of where you would have seen us :

We have had a presence at “Star Wars In Concert” in Edmonton, Calgary and Vancouver. We have occupies Sherwood Park for the Canada Day parade. We have entertained young, terminally ill children and their families as part of a Make-A-Wish fundraiser at EAGames with a screening of “The Empire Strikes Back”. We have Walked for Autism in Edmonton. We’ve attended the Calgary Stampede and Star Wars Day at Arbour Lake. We have raised money and donated tickets to Star Wars In Concert to well deserving families at the Wal*Mart walk For Miracles at Stanley Park in Vancouver after giving  hundreds of children a fun filled day at the Kids Market on Granville Island, and so much more! But you all need to know where we are going to be so you too can witness the power of the 501st legion in the form of the Badlands Garrison and Outer Rim Squad!

The Outer Rim Squad page has been updated to include a quick word form the Squad Leader John, and a list of Events where you all can meet the Outer Rim Squad!

Henry has been doing some fantastic work with the css and php code (of which I’m pretty dangerous with), so when our beloved CO Dave sent both Henry and I a PM with links to Badlands Garrison Videos, I said “hey I can do that!” So I did. And the site didn’t explode! Go progress!

More updates galore!!

Henry went in and :

• Fixed the forums in size and colors. Still more to do but he did a TON of work to the code
• Fixed the main site css
• Adjusted the large member image to the right
• Adjusted the css code to the rest of the site in the posting area as well as the sidebar
• Almost everything is now lined up properly with the margins
• Added a ton more control and ease of adjusting and updating with all of the images coded with the css

His Kung Fu is strong….More to come!!

Right now the Badlands Garrison website is undergoing a full overhaul and major upgrade! Here’s what we have done thus far :

• All hyperlinks are now underlined with a color change on hover.
• Disclaimer added to the footer.
• Added placeholder high res, large image on the right side. This is where all of the member-donated images will be on a random-refresh-basis. ie as you refresh the page, a new image loads.
• Fixed and replaced the repeater graphic.
• Fixed and replaced the header AND footer.
•  Fixed and replaced the metaback post divider.
•  Removed the code that puts the rss feed image square in the dead center of the Home menu where the Recent Forum Topics script sits.
• Widened and recolored the post body in the css code.
• Made to fit the transparent side menu in the css code.
• Removed the intrusive and needless search button AND graphic in the header and repositioned the Garrison logo center again in photoshop.
•  Added an automatic redirect code to the main full site. Going to http://www.badlands.ca/ will automatically redirect you to the main full site in less than 1 second.
